A Healing Vibe in New Orleans

Updated: Feb 28, 2020

This video (couldn't post it for some reason!) showcases one of my favorite places in New Orleans, and I visit each time I'm in the city. It features the New Orleans Healing Center, which also happens to have been co-founded by my spiritual godmother Sallie Ann Glassman. In addition to hosting the annual Sacred Music Festival (at which I've volunteered) and Day of the Dead/Fet Gede, the center houses a food co-op, art galleries and studios, shops and a restaurant, a music venue/bar and more. It's also home to the International Shrine of Marie Laveau. The center was born out of a desire for healing in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and it brings together people for all kinds of interfaith celebrations of spirit. The next time you're in New Orleans, I hope you'll check it out.
